Stichting Rijakannah is a nonprofit foundation legally registered in Suriname. All donations are voluntary gifts, given willingly, and are not required or solicited under pressure.
Stichting Rijakannah is not currently registered as a nonprofit organization in the United States. Donations are not tax-deductible under U.S. federal law, and we cannot guarantee tax-deductible treatment in any other country. Please consult your own tax advisor regarding any deduction you may or may not be entitled to claim in your country of residence.
Donations are made at the donor's own discretion and own risk. By donating, you acknowledge that your gift supports the Foundation's humanitarian mission in Suriname and is not made in exchange for goods, services, or any guaranteed outcome.

What We Need Most.
These are the categories of supplies that have the greatest impact for the villages we serve. Every item on this list is packed into humanitarian barrels and hand-delivered to Indigenous families in western Suriname.
Medical Supplies
First-aid kits, wound care, over-the-counter medications, and clinical basics.

Notebooks, pens, backpacks, calculators, and classroom essentials.
Clothing
New or gently used clothing for children, youth, adults, and elders.
Shoes
Durable shoes and sandals for tropical, rural terrain.

Diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, and infant clothing.
Non-perishable Food
Rice, beans, canned goods, and shelf-stable staples.
Hygiene Products
Soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene, and personal care.
Wheelchairs & Mobility
Wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes in working condition.
Hospital Beds
Adjustable and manual hospital beds for elder and disability care.
Blankets
Warm blankets and bedding for families and shelters.
Generators
Portable and stationary generators for villages without reliable power.
Solar Equipment
Solar panels, batteries, lanterns, and off-grid kits.
Construction Materials
Tools, roofing, lumber, and hardware for housing restoration.
Water Purification
Filters, purification tablets, and clean water systems.
Emergency Relief Supplies
Disaster kits, tarps, flashlights, and emergency provisions.

What We Cannot Accept.
To protect the safety of our volunteers, the integrity of our shipments, and the families we serve, we cannot accept the following items:
- Expired or unlabeled medications
- Broken or non-working electronics
- Damaged or unsafe furniture
- Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
- Opened or used hygiene products
- Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
- Perishable food or refrigerated items
- Items that cannot legally be imported into Suriname

Local Donation Collection.
Our founder personally coordinates supply collection in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia region so donated items can be consolidated and shipped to Suriname, where the Foundation is registered and operates. Businesses, churches, hospitals, schools, and individuals in this area can schedule a pickup at a time that works for you.
Corporate Donation Program.
Businesses can donate surplus inventory, medical equipment, office furniture, computers, and humanitarian supplies. Instead of storing, discounting, or discarding usable goods, your company can turn them into real relief for Indigenous families in Suriname.

Stichting Rijakannah Foundation is registered in Suriname and is not currently a U.S. 501(c)(3) organization, so donations are not tax-deductible under U.S. federal law at this time. Our team will provide an acknowledgment letter, inventory documentation, and shipment tracking your finance and CSR teams can use for internal records.
