Volunteer Code of Conduct

As a volunteer with Stichting Rijakannah, you represent the Foundation and the communities we serve. This Code sets the standard for how we work together.

• Follow the guidance of community leaders in every community we visit.
• Honor local customs, languages, and decision-making practices.
• Do not photograph, film, or share images of community members without documented consent.
• Represent the Foundation’s work honestly — do not exaggerate need, results, or your own role.

Follow the Foundation’s Child & Vulnerable Persons Safeguarding Policy at all times. Report any concern immediately to the Founder & President or another board member.

Personal information about beneficiaries, donors, other volunteers, or Foundation operations is confidential. Do not share it publicly or on social media.

• Follow all travel, health, and safety guidance provided by the Foundation and local hosts.
• Do not consume alcohol or use recreational drugs while on Foundation activity.
• Disclose any medical condition or accessibility need that may affect safe participation.

• Any form of abuse, exploitation, harassment, or discrimination.
• Accepting or offering bribes, kickbacks, or personal payments in connection with Foundation activity.
• Using the Foundation’s name, logo, or channels for personal, political, or commercial purposes.

By volunteering with Stichting Rijakannah you acknowledge that you have read and will abide by this Code. Violations may result in reassignment or ending your volunteer relationship with the Foundation, and, where warranted, referral to authorities.
