Stichting Rijakannah Foundation is an independent humanitarian organization registered in Suriname. This timeline sets out how the Foundation was established and the work now underway.
- Professional Background
Two Decades in Healthcare & Community Support
Before founding the organization, Kamina Samantha Hydara worked for more than twenty years as a Home Health Project Manager, Caregiver, Direct Support Professional, Community Support Counselor, Social Work Assistant, Residential Counselor, and Certified Medication Technician — supporting seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and adults experiencing homelessness.

Official Registration in Suriname
Stichting Rijakannah Foundation was officially registered in Suriname on December 18, 2025 (KKF #167628) as an independent, not-for-profit humanitarian organization serving underserved communities throughout the country.

Governance & Policy Framework
The Foundation established its governing board and published its operating policies — privacy, donation handling, media consent, safeguarding, and a volunteer code of conduct — so that programs are delivered under clear, accountable standards.
- August 2026
Our First 15-Barrel Campaign
The Foundation is preparing its first organized 15-barrel humanitarian campaign. Barrels of apparel, food, school supplies, and hygiene items were packed on August 1, 2026, ship on August 4, and are scheduled to arrive in Suriname on September 5.

Deepening the Mission
Programs will expand within Suriname as resources, capacity, and confirmed community needs allow — building lasting partnerships that support families, elders, children, and persons with disabilities. Communities to receive assistance: to be confirmed in consultation with local leadership.
